Senju Launch: Japan in the Middle of Munich

When a launch of a highly exclusive product is around the corner, you can expect that we aren’t too far! When Hibiki came on to us with the ultra-exclusive limited edition of Senju, a masterpiece in collaboration with Japanese artist Hiroshi Senju, we were very excited to get to work and do what we do best: creating unforgettable moments with brands with an impact that lasts long. Our mission? Ditch the standard press event and create a cultural experience for a selected audience of whisky connoisseurs who were the very first ones to taste it and got the exclusive opportunity to buy one of the strictly limited editions. But how do you bottle the elegance of Japanese art, the complexity of Hibiki whisky, and the serene flow of Senju’s ‘waterfall’ artwork and pour that all in a single night?

We concepted, produced, and managed the entire event, transforming Munich’s Ory Bar into a contemporary Japanese landscape. We meticulously crafted every detail to feel intentional and personal: We immersed guests in the art itself. The venue was brought to life by floristry that mirrored the cascading waterfalls of Senju’s art. Providing invited private customers with a unique opportunity to acquire a very limited edition of Senju bottles. A japanese live cellist provided a modern, contemplative score. As it was an exclusive sensory journey, featuring an exquisite menu of Japanese delicacies and specially fine-tuned chocolates designed to perfectly complement the complex notes of the rare Hibiki whisky. And of course forget about generic goodie bags and think of the art of gifting itself: An on-site Furoshiki artist wrapped the bottles in the traditional Japanese cloth in waterfall design, while a Calligrapher personalized cards and bags with elegant Japanese script. Every gift was a bespoke piece of art.

The launch was more than an event! It was an exclusive, elegant immersion into Japanese high culture and artwork, with the intentional timing of knowing the series would be officially released globally the next day. We didn’t just showcase a whiskey but we delivered a moment that will turn into a precious memory. The feedback was unanimous: a truly unforgettable experience that solidified Hibiki’s position at the pinnacle of luxury. Every product launch deserves to be this impactful for the whole brand.
